Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the access to and use of the youaretheboss platform ("Platform"), operated by youaretheboss. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms in full.

2. Definitions

• Platform: the youaretheboss website and services.
• Customer: an organization requesting professional services.
• Consultant: an independent expert offering services through the Platform.
• Professional Service (PS): a scoped engagement built around a defined customer need and delivered through the Platform.
• Task: a unit of delivery within a Professional Service, submitted to the Customer for validation as work progresses.

3. Access & Account

To use the Platform, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Use of the Platform

The Platform connects Customers with independent Consultants whose published catalog entries are subject to service-specific Skills Validation. youaretheboss acts as an intermediary and is not a party to the service contracts concluded between Customers and Consultants, except as expressly stated.

5. Consultant Obligations

Consultants agree to deliver services with professionalism and in accordance with the scope defined for each Professional Service. Each catalog entry a Consultant wants to publish is subject to service-specific Skills Validation before publication and periodic revalidation.

6. Pricing & Fees

The Platform does not charge paid user licenses. The applicable hourly service price is configured by the Platform for the Professional Service context and displayed upfront. A 5% Customer platform contribution is added to the Professional Service value, and a 5% Consultant platform contribution is deducted from that value. These contributions are presented transparently before billing. There is no bidding or rate negotiation on the displayed service price.

7. Delivery Approval & Payment

A Professional Service may contain one or more Tasks. As delivery progresses, work and time recorded for each Task are submitted to the Customer for validation in line with the PS Request and its deadlines. Approved consumption can then enter the billing and payment workflow.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform belong to youaretheboss. Users retain ownership of the content they create, granting us a limited license to operate the Platform.

9. Liability

youaretheboss provides the Platform "as is" and shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from its use, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform in case of breach of these Terms. You may close your account at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
